This is why we are so exhausted. Constant Chaos will do that to you.
Yes, Mr. President, there is total chaos in your White House
On Tuesday morning, Donald Trump tried to change the narrative. As always, he did so with a tweet. This tweet:
"The new Fake News narrative is that there is CHAOS in the White
House. Wrong! People will always come & go, and I want strong dialogue before making a final decision. I still have some people that I want to change (always seeking perfection). There is no Chaos, only great Energy!"
Hmmmm. That assertion -- No chaos, No chaos, You're the chaos -- directly contradicts what Trump himself said on Saturday night. "I like turnover," he said in a speech to the Gridiron Club in Washington. "I like chaos. It really is good." www.cnn.com/...
So much winning
Now Trump's White House chaos is rocking the world
The chaos and bombast that have driven President Donald Trump's White House into its deepest crisis yet just burst America's borders.
Trump's sudden announcement Thursday of punishing tariffs on steel and aluminum imports, after a typically disorganized and opaque rollout, left much of the world feeling the whiplash that has rocked Washington all week. www.cnn.com/...
Credit where credit is due, Jeb Bush did call this one early.
I hate to say I told you so: Jeb Bush lashes out at 'chaos president' Trump and criticizes his use of Twitter
- Jeb Bush spoke at the annual SALT hedge fund conference in Las Vegas on Friday
- He reminded people that he said Trump would be a 'chaos president' last year
- Bush said Trump's tweets give enemies too much insight into what he's thinking
- He said the people leaking information from the White House should be fired

Too much F***ing Winning already
'King Chaos': Trump and aides navigate a White House cauldron
Even President Trump himself is joking about chaos in his administration.
"It’s been really another calm week at the White House," Trump cracked during a high-profile press dinner Saturday night in Washington. "We finally have it running like a fine-tuned machine. ... It’s fine-tuned."
Amid investigations, surprising White House departures, and staff in-fighting over items ranging from tariffs and security clearances, the president is also sending out mixed signals over issues like guns, immigration and even the emotional state of his 14-month-old presidency. www.usatoday.com/...
Seriously, the winning is killing me.
David Brooks: Chaos In The Presidency; Combination Of Semi- Competent Staff And "Intellectually Unstable President"
The steel tariff thing has real consequences. And the word that leapt out at me that one of his staffers said, one of his allies said, he made the decision because he became unglued.
And so we have a president makes a decision because he becomes unglued, a decision totally in avoidance of the entire process. And then to combine the chaos of it, he issues a tweet this morning which to me was a topper even by Trump standards that a trade war is good and easily won, a concept that no economist of any stripe and no historian of any stripe could possibly think is anything other than crazy.
And so it’s extremely disorienting right now...
Chaos= bad. Trade wars= bad. Crazy Trump=bad.
The return of the chaos president
If you were an all-powerful Democratic strategist out to subvert the Republican Party from the inside, you would be hard pressed to devise a more effective plan than the remarkable scene that unfolded on Wednesday afternoon in a televised meeting at the White House between the president and congressional leaders...
No doubt Trump will reverse himself on guns any hour now…
Supporters of the Democrats should be happy that the more
disorder and confusion Trump sows in the GOP, the likelier it will be that his party gets thoroughly creamed in the upcoming midterm elections. But Americans who care about the longer-term good of the nation should also find it supremely disconcerting to see one of the country's two main parties (and the country itself) led by a man who actively spreads ideological disarray and institutional dysfunction to everything he touches. But that, apparently, is where we are.
The chaos candidate has become the chaos president. And none of us has any choice but to ride out the storm. theweek.com/…
